Nokia has patented a new type of tattoo that can vibrate in your hand whenever someone calls you or texts you. The tattoo works on a body based caller ID system. It vibrates in different patterns for different callers. The tattoo works in two ways. In the first one, it uses a detachable electronic material that can be peeled off from your skin and it can be paired with a phone. The detachable circuit could recognize a magnetic field and can cause vibration which is associated with piezoelectrics. When there is an incoming call for you, the phone sends a signal to the material that makes it vibrate in a specific pattern.
The second concept make use of a ferromagnetic ink to make the print permanent. Through this concept, you may get all forms of images similar to a regular tattoo. After applying it, it would be magnetized to detect any magnetic field present.
But several confusions arise as a part of this invention because, everyone is bothered about the health problems that arise from this. They are confused whether the tattoo will cause any effect on their pulse, skin etc. All doubts would be cleared as the tattoo becomes popular.
