KOHLI STEALS THE SHOW

Bangladesh: Indian Batsman Virat Kohli scores an astonishing century against Pakistan that led India to victory in the Micromax Asia cup 2012. Kohli scored 183 runs which was the highlight of Indian innings. Pakistan batted first, after winning the toss to score 329 runs for the loss of six wickets.

The opening partnership between Mohammed Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed kept Indian batsmen under pressure. Both of them were able to score a century each. After their wickets, Younis Khan was the only player who played sensationally. He scored a quick half century(52) of just 32 balls.

Indian innings started with the fall of Gautam gambhir's wicket in the second ball of the innings. He was out for a duck after Hafeez, who had earlier scored a stunning hundred, bowled a beautiful off breaker to send him out for LBW. After Gambhir's wicket Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli made an excellent partnership to keep their hopes of winning the match alive. Sachin scored his 96th half century and was out after being caught by Younis Khan. Later on, Rohit Sharma joined the party.

He scored an expensive half century with some talented shots. Towards the end, Kohli scored several sixes and fours and kept the run rate high. And finally, after Kohli was gone for misjudging a shot ball, captain MS Dhoni scored the winning runs.

Virat Kohli was declared the man of the match for scoring an outstanding century.
