NOOYI GETS $17 MILLION AS COMPENSATION

Pepsi Co Chief Executive Indra Nooyi gets $17.1 million last year, which six percent more than that of the previous year though their food and drink company failed to reach its zenith. The sharp rise is due to increase in her base salary which is after five years of her post as a CEO.Ms. Nooyi who is 56, is constrained from the Wall Street due to her languish soft drinks in North America while she focused on healthier drinks.

Despite of Pepsi Co's currency instability, it managed to increase its revenue by 13%, net income by four per cent and earnings in a single share by five per cent. Pepsi Co is also trying to transform their product to make it devoid of cancer warning. In their efforts to reach their target, they are changing the way they produce caramel to add with the sodas. The company said that the consumer will notice no change in the taste or health.

Pepsi Co tries to avoid the risk of their products by making the manufacturers of caramel to supply those who are void of cancer risks and other health hazards. Under several reviews, it has been found that the risk pertains only if a consumer drinks as much as 1,000 cans per day, which is absolutely impossible.
