MADRID TO FACE REAL SOCIEDAD

Real Madrid, currently on top of La Liga standings are to face Real Sociedad here on saturday. Real Madrid is in great determination after their five straight wins in the league against Sociedad. Sociedad is the club which has drawn most number of times against Real Madrid (36 in 129 games). 

Real Madrid has only conceded one own goal under Jose Mourinho. That is Alvaro Arbeloa against Real Sociedad last season (4-1 win). Mourinho's side are in a state without a win in two consecutive league games since September. 

Real Sociedad has not scored a penalty yet. It is the only team in La Liga BBVA to do so. Whereas Real Madrid has scored the most number of penalties this season (10). Real Madrid is in their way to achieve the La Liga title with a six points clear over Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the top scorer (33) for Real Madrid would be Madrid's greatest hope. He is in his run to overtake Lionel Messi who has scored 34 goals till now this season. Barcelona had earlier defeated Grenada 5-3 which cut short Madrid's lead from ten points to just six points. 

Madrid is in a drastic condition as their defender Pepe gets a two match ban for insulting the referee in their match against Villa Real. Along with Pepe, Spanish star Sergio Ramos also gets a red card, which keeps him out of the match against Real Sociedad.  Ramos gets his 14th red card as a Madrid player.
