DANIEL CRAIG TO OPEN OLYMPICS
London: The hero of James Bond movie, Daniel Craig is at beck and call for the London Olympics 2012. He agrees to open the ceremony after receiving an invitation from the Queen Elizabeth. The Sun online reported that during the highest sports show there will be a display of a short movie called the "The Arrival".
Craig and a film team lead by the director of the movie Slumdog Millionaire Danny Boyle were given an unusual entry to the Queen's personal rooms. This year is the Queen's diamond Jubilee. Her sanction gave a brief look in the Buckingham Palace.
"It's a
huge coup for BBC producers and Danny to be allowed into the Palace and have the Queen involved."They wanted the most iconic British film character inside the building most associated with London and with the monarch and they got it. It will be a magical scene for all watching at home and inside the stadium on July 27," a source said.
Cameras and mobile phones are totally prohibited while in the set. Also, the team members of the film were given several strict instructions such as not to reveal their movie substance to anyone outside in the public.
